Episode 83 – Visualise success with this simple analogy
I’ve been quite lucky.
After spending a good part of a decade as both an international athlete and now an international coach, I‘ve started to confirm some observations I always intuitively knew when I was working with my successful personal training and nutrition clients.
One of those observations was around consistent and controllable methods to visualise success and then actually go on to achieve it.
While I’ve seen many clients and athletes in my time, not all were able to “get theirs.”
Yes, many were naturals and got close – on talent or good genetics alone
Yes, some were given an advantage (born wealthy or had connections) to obtain the resources they needed
Some even worked relentlessly until they made progress (perhaps by fluke)
But often that was not enough.
There is more to success.

Whenever you’re building something great, perspective matters.
You have step outside your head, see the process from above and then it’s here that you can break it down into small steps so that you can achieve it – otherwise, the task can get quite overwhelming.

Success is a process – a flow on from one step to the next until completion.
Ok, an easy way to visualise success is through the analogy of building a house.
Think about it for a second,
Whenever you’re building a house you start with the first layer – the foundation.
Next, you create the walls by laying down each brick – one by one by one.
Then you put the roof on, the windows, do interior design and so on.
You do the work,
You get engrossed in it – “merge” with the process.
You flow through the steps.
Eventually, your house is created!
And it’s that inch by inch victory – that everyday investment into the project – that you do that’s going to help you to build a magnificent house, or in your case – a magnificent life.
That’s the key view it takes to become successful.
Get out of your head, build the step by step process, then enjoy the work as you do it.
Then you will arrive.
