Episode 108 – Don’t know when to set your fitness goals? Try this…

Are you a CEO, C-suite boss or business owner/operator?

Do you have too much going on in life that you forget to look after yourself?

Don’t know when to set your fitness goals?

I know how you feel.

You’ve worked your way up in life only to find that your health is suffering.

Once you were a happy, healthy and vibrant individual…next thing you know you’ve got your hands full of commitments and obligations.

It’s time to claim back your fitness.

It’s time to work on you.

Never fear though, I’m not going to make you do anything extra.

It’s all just a matter of associative conditioning.

“What’s associative conditioning” I hear you say.

Associative conditioning is a handy mental hack to use to your advantage for fitness and health.

The basic premise is based around the Pavlov’s dog experiment which essentially means, “any thoughts or brain cells that fire together, will wire together.”

So, what do you do?

Read on below to find out when to set your fitness goals.

 

 

Align your goal setting to key milestones in the work year so that you can activate it automatically.

Maybe it’s paralleled with your work goals or business review times – be it quarterly, half-yearly, third quarter and then yearly.

For example, you might focus on your personal development planning in March, June, October, and December because you also spend a large amount of focus on work planning at these times.

Therefore…

Align your goal setting with something that you’re doing at work. This will essentially convert it into a reminder that says, “Hey! It’s also time to set that health and fitness goal.”

This is associative conditioning put in action.

Why does this matter?

As a busy human, you will forget from time to time, so find useful ways to remind yourself to work on your health and fitness goals!

Don’t just dream, achieve!

Claim back your fitness.

It’s time to work on you.
